Picture Perfect

She stood there by the ocean,
The breeze gently lifted her hair.
Of that seagull just above her,
She was totally unaware.

Seemingly floating in the sky,
The seagull’s wings were still.
I think it paused to take good aim,
And drop a mess at will.

Too late she looked above her head,
Where the seagull hovered now.
Then as I watched in horror,
Bird droppings hit her brow.

Her scream pierced the balmy air.
Splat! The stuff hit her face.
Then she saw my camera and me,
And stomped off in disgrace

Summer is Here

The sky is so blue,
not a cloud to be seen.
The Earth is a painting
with every shade of green.
The chirping of birds,
as they gracefully fly by,
amidst the golden hue
of the lustrous sky.
The flowers are so fragrant,
the trees are their shield,
for under the scorching heat
a breeze they should feel.
The voices of children,
as they play in the park.
It is a definite sign,
summer has made its mark.

A Broken Smile

I sit here with a smile on my face,
I smile as I breathe in deep,
I smile as I close my eyes
and I smile all day long;

the sky is dark,
as the freezing winds
seep into my bones,
I sit here smiling silently cold and empty;
I wait here frozen in time,
with my dreams torn apart,
my heart encased in a tomb,
I smile to mask my true emotions;
smile is all that I do day in and day out,
the mask that I wear is so perfect,
one needs to come a lot closer,
to see the tears trickling down my eyes;
the days are long,
the nights longer still.
I try to find the light,
but find comfort only in the dark;
emotions swell inside,
walking on a broken path,
I look up for the rainbow
hoping that one day I will get off
this broken path and onto a new one;

A broken smile is a smile that is false to hide the pain inside!!!

Humorous

Taking a romantic ride today,
We sat upon the wagon.
Suddenly the horse lifted his tail
And we heard a roaring dragon!

The deafening sound hurt my ears
And the smell burned the hairs in my nose.
My girlfriend sat and glared at me.
Somehow my fault I suppose.

It was my idea to take the ride,
But how was I to know?
It really wasn’t in my plans;
Didn’t know the horse would blow.

The noise and the smell were bad enough,
As the wind blew quickly by.
But I think the very worst of it,
Was the brown stuff in my eye.

My girlfriend’s face turned angry red.
So I figured I wouldn’t dare,
Advise her of the smelly pieces
Of horse stuff in her hair.

The horse finally stopped; my girl ran away,
Stubbornly lifting her chin.
I think that horse was enjoying himself,
Cause I’m sure I saw him grin.

A lesson learned for me today.
Although I must confess,
I laughed so hard I nearly cried
As I wiped away the mess.

Friends Forever

Follow me when your road leads to nowhere
When everything is going to somewhere
Where your dreams may not be real
And the future may be unclear

And the gloomy days may be swept
With tears of joy and wonderful smiles

-Never give up on somebody you can't go a day without thinking about because they may be "the one" and you should never let something like that go. People will come and go in your life time you just have to decided who's worth your time and who isn't. Don't let people lie to you and lead you on; you'll be the one hurt in the end while they're off laughing and having a good time.
